In one of the many interviews of economist Catherine Austin Fitts that I've viewed in the last few years (sorry, have no link), she mentioned that at one of the elite European conferences she attended, a billionaire casually mentioned to her that soon "they" (apparently the ruling class) would be relying on Artificial Intelligence and tech and would no longer need or want the masses of people on earth. Only a very few humans were necessary, and the other billions of humans were superfluous to their requirements.
