I am proud to have given what little help I could to the work summarized above. I am proud of Dan for have written his opus on this site. I think I learned more from him than he learned from me.

Oh yes, I found it fun to read, too

Brilliant as usual, and also prophetic, looking back as well as forward but I hope you'll forgive me for saying I hope you're wrong about what's coming. Is there not some reason for optimism in that so many people have been exposed to one or another variant of SARS-COV-2 that natural immunity targeting conserved epitopes of the virus might save many?

Yeah I hope I'm wrong too, but check out "Golden Silkworms," before it was perfected, when OPV reverted too fast inside the orphanages it was tested in, it turned into an unstoppable monster that blew through both natural and vaccine-induced immunity, similar to HIV. Luckily, it wasn't airborne.

But yeah this thing is already acting enough like airborne HIV that there very clearly isn't going to be any kind of natural immunity, that's now how reverting LAVs work, it changes too fast and too much for the conserved epitopes to matter.

46 cases of covid in our small town, several elderly had to be transported for higher level of care. Its summer not normally a time for a virus to affect a community in July/August.

Oh man I'm so sorry, gonna be dark times ahead for pretty much everyone I'm afraid.

Damn, bro.

Your output just keeps getting better. Will share widely.

BA.2.86 could well be the first of a new generation of really nasty variants.

This guy seems up to date:

Yeah I see him in the feed, he's definitely barking up the right tree - feel free to drop him some links since I'm still suspended.

Interesting that @mrmickme talks a bunch about dengue. I live in California, and my city recently had its first case of locally acquired dengue ever. Shortly before that, another city had the first locally acquired ever in California. I also happened across a tweet/post by someone I'd never seen before -- @exceedhergrasp1 -- that the US will be changing its definition of "disability," which will lower the disability rates. Seems odd timing to say the least, since disability rates are running so high. Also, I'm wondering whether you have a specific reason for believing covid is a LAV, as opposed to people who say that the problem is repeat infections? I have no idea what's going on, but I keep mentioning to everyone I know that for whatever reason I just have SUCH A BAD FEELING.

Yeah lots of diseases that were previously held at bay are gonna be emerging all over the place the more the collective community's immune system gets fried.

And yeah I have lots of reasons, pick a link from one of those quotes, or check my biggest long article linked at the very top.

Is this relevant in some way? New story: Finland plans to kill 120,000 foxes and mink because of H5N1. https://www.euronews.com/2023/08/23/finland-starts-cull-of-120000-foxes-and-mink-to-stem-bird-flu-outbreak

Yup it's a harbinger of what's coming for lots of industrial farms, H5N1 only originates within the artificial conditions of poultry farms, which have been around forever.

They've jumped into the workers in these farms before, and from lab work and I think real world data there's evidence they've jumped into other mammals in the past - although it's usually other birds, and it doesn't kill huge populations of mammals like it has been recently.

So just like human populations are getting sick from strep and fungi and other pathogens that were previously controlled at the population level, now that everyone's got COVID the population-wide immunity is shot, and so those diseases can get a foothold.

In the same way, whether or not it's recorded all of those mammalian farms have been weakened by COVID, so now they're falling victim to a pathogen that'd previously been controlled at the population level.

I KNEW H1N1 was man-made! But not until a mild 2020 case of Covid amplified, tripled the old plateau of conditions and symptoms I had dealt with for 11 years, mostly cognitive and courage-related, now advancing in a slow-motion lobotomy, the real bio-weapon that is Covid.

We should not speak of deaths when we speak of Covid, rather say the slow death of societies. (all respect to grannies and paw-paw's lost). We'll have to watch how this progresses in the "infected", (at this point 10% of all acute cases, asymptomatic or not, but as variants come forth, won't we all eventually get the slow death?) or maybe find out death is not accelerated at all, more like the zombie apocalypse favored by certain younger folk.

Let's remain hopeful we can figure out the antidote. I'll be here available to testify, and shit, take some brain samples FFS.

Things are going to get much worse before they get better, and the only antidote is acidifying all publicly shared air, which unfortunately seems a long way off:
